Introduction
StainlessMesh.com ("we," "our" or "the site") operates at stainlessmesh.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information the site collects when you visit, how that information is used, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and what rights you have over it. The site is a reading library about stainless steel mesh; it does not sell products directly or require account registration.
Data We Collect
Automatically Collected
When you visit, the site's hosting provider and Google Analytics automatically collect standard technical information:
- Browser type and version, operating system, device category (desktop / mobile / tablet).
- IP address (used to derive approximate geographic region; not stored as a precise identifier by the site itself).
- Pages visited, referring page, time spent, clicks and scroll depth.
- Date and time of the visit.
Information You Provide
The site does not operate a contact form or account system. If you email us (for example at [email protected]), your email address, message contents and any information you choose to include in the message will be received by us through our email provider.
How Data Is Used
- To operate the site, serve pages and measure general traffic trends.
- To improve content — identify articles that are working, pages that are confusing, and terms readers are searching for.
- To respond to email inquiries and corrections you send us.
- To detect, prevent and address technical problems, abuse and fraud.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
The site uses first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies for analytics (Google Analytics). The site does not currently use advertising or affiliate cookies. Details of specific cookies, their purposes and how to opt out are on the cookie policy page.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics (currently configured with measurement ID G-WL0HW2QXEH) to measure traffic, referrers and content performance. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives information about your visit. You can opt out globally by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising & Affiliate Links
The site does not currently display advertising and does not currently contain affiliate links, so no ad-network or affiliate-tracking cookies are set by the site. If advertising or affiliate links are introduced in the future, this policy, the cookie policy and the affiliate disclosure will be updated before they go live. For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's partner-sites policy.
Third-Party Vendors
The categories of third-party vendors with access to data about your visit include, at a minimum:
- Web hosting and content delivery providers.
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics).
- Email providers for inbound messages.
Each vendor processes data under its own privacy policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only:
- With the vendors above, to operate the services described.
- When required by law, legal process or a lawful request from a public authority.
- To protect rights, safety or property of the site, its users or the public.
- In connection with a merger, sale of assets or similar business transfer, in which case this policy will continue to apply to personal information transferred, or the new operator will notify users of any material change.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics (typically 2 to 14 months, depending on settings). Email correspondence sent to us is kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a working record of the exchange.
